As Ayumi exited the ferry, stepping onto the Briggs dock, she realized something.
"HOLY CRAP, IT'S COLD!"
She shivered violently, ignoring the glares of the people around her, cursing herself against her breath. How the hell did she forget to buy a jacket!?

"Wow... it really is.." Kaylin agreed softly, pulling one of her bags off and grabbing out two coats, she handed one to Ayumi.
"Here.. it might be a little large, but it'll work for now."

Wiping her dripping nose, she grabbed the jacket and threw her arms around Kaylin. "Th-th-th-th-thank youuuu," she said through chattering teeth as she put the jacket on.
She pointed down the road that led to the mountain rage. "We gotta go that way. Hopefully we can get halfway through the mountains by sunset."

"You're welcome. Let's head that way then." With a smile she walked side-by-side with Ayumi toward the mountains.

Okay. She walked silently until they were at the edge of the town, then looked at Kaylin. "I just gotta let you know now- I'm not allowed to help you when we're in the mountains. My teach says you gotta learn to live with alchemy by becoming one with it. Y'know, all that bullcrap."

Kaylin's eyes widened. "Dammit... I understand though. I'll try my hardest. If I'm about to get eaten by wolves or something you'll save me, right?"

Ayumi laughed. She started to walk again when she noticed a bunch of small jeeps besides a shed. Nobody looked like they were around.
"Hey, Kaylin," she said, waving her forward. "Let's take one of those."

Walking over to the Jeep, she checked the doors. They were locked. She took a small knife out of her belt and scratched a transmutation circle on the handle. After it sparkled, the door unlocked. She threw the door open and got in. "Hurry up, before someone hears us!"

Kaylin nodded and quickly hopped in the other side, making sure they had all their stuff too. "Drive, drive, drive Ayumi!" She whispered loudly

"Okay!" She looked at the controls and frowned. "How do these things work again?"
A light turned on as someone yelled, "Hey, what're you kids doing?!"
"GAH!" Ayumi slammed her foot on the brake and they zoomed forward, nearly smashing into a dumpster.

"GET BACK HERE!!!"
The jeep swerved left and right as Ayumi spun the steering wheel around, yelling at the top of her lungs. They darted forward, bouncing off a hill and slammed down into the snow.
"YEE-HAW!" Ayumi shouted, pumping her fists into the air. The jeep nearly overturned when she let go of the wheel, and she grabbed it and attempted to steady themselves, grazing against a tree. The mirror snapped off, but they were fine.
