~*Full Name: Anna Lynn Reese [ahn-nah]
~*Nicknames: Ann [ahn] (rarely used)
~*Age: 19
~*Race: Homunculus
~*Race Status: Secrecy
~*Gender: Female
~*Weapons of Choice: Whatever is lying around.
~*Personality (Human): Nurturing, older sister type, always smiling. Hopeless romantic, rather flirty around Carsten. Would spin in circles under the sun's rays if she could. Also a bit of a party girl, knew how to hold her liquor.
~*Personality (Homunculus): Shy, often sad, reminiscing about her past. She often fights in memory of Carsten.
~*History: Anna'a mother traveled from Russia to Brandenburg, Germany in 1919. She soon met and fell in love with her father and became pregnant, giving birth in 1920.
In 1923, Anna's father caught wind of the growing NSDAP and fled to Munich to attend the Beer Hall Putsch. Soon realizing that Mr. Reese would most likely never return, Anna and her mother moved in with family friends, a family of three. Over the next few years Anna became fast friends with the family's only child, a son named Carsten.
On an early winter night in 1935, two Nazi soldiers stormed into the home where Anna and her now extended family lived. The three parents hid their children in a secret basement, the entrance covered by an area rug, while the adults confronted the soldiers. The armed men being displeased with the homeowners reactions, shot and killed Carsten's mother, then took his father and Anna's mother away with a struggle. Hours passed without a sound before Anna and Carsten rise from their secret lair, welcomed by a frozen, wide-eyed corpse on the wooden floor. Carsten, trying to protect his "little sister," quickly grabbed hold of Anna dragging her out the back door, though she had already caught sight of the scene in the home she was now leaving behind.
Through the next four years, Anna and Carsten travel parts of Germany, trying their best to avoid the growing Nazi Party. Then in 1939, as if déjà vu, two Nazi soldiers stormed into Anna's new home while one stood guard out front. An altercation ensued, resulting in bullets penetrating Carsten's flesh, his hard body hitting the floor, dead. The thought of now losing another loved one even more precious than family hit Anna hard, throwing her into a fit of rage. Shouting obscenities and throwing herself at the men, she shocked the soldiers when she grabbed the shooter's weapon, waving it around in the air.
Walking around the apartment, Anna soon had her back to the front door. Soon the third soldier entered the home, pulling his trigger, shooting her square in the back, resulting in a reflex shot from Anna, the bullet landing in her thigh. Anna flopped to the the wooden floor, across the room from Carsten. As the soldiers left without a second thought Anna quickly bleed out from her own gunshot wound.
The room slowly turned to white, her love disappearing, calling out his name without making an audible sound. Before long the white light completely surrounded Anna, her wounds slowly healing, the blood disappearing. In the distance a large wall appeared. Suddenly feeling drawn to the large object, Anna stood in a trance like state, walking closer to what she soon realized was a large gate. The doors to The Gate opened with a loud creak with numerous eyes peaking out at her. Black child-like hands then reached out and clung to Anna, pulling her inside The Gate. Within The Gate Anna transformed not only in appearance, but in identity. The Gate had a plan for this girl, though not to be known. She would be different than the rest of the homunculi.
Anna awoke in a small, forest-like area, unaware of the changes that have been placed upon her, only to once again pass out on the hard dirt ground. Soon she is found by an old passer, a farmer in a town of dust, and reluctantly takes her back to his home which he shares with two other young boys. Anna again awakes, though this time in a bed in a near bare room. The door to the room then creaked open, a teenage boy peaking his head into the room before turning back around and leaving. Before long another, taller, boy came into Anna's room trying to ger information out of her, but Anna had none. Getting up and trying to leave Anna passed by a mirror hanging on the wall, catching a glimpse of her new appearance.
It soon came to pass that the wandering girl would stay with her finders on the farm belong to Belsio and Russell and Fletcher Tringham. Her new identity never being known.
~*Powers/Abilities: Basic homunculi abilities, though unlike most homunculi she has retained her living memory. On rare occasions Anna will have short "visions" produced by The Gate.
~*Other: I kinda figure if it's 1939 in Germany, it's 1917 in Amestris; therefore Anna is 19 and Ed is 18. Everyone else can be figured out from there. Also, sorry for the rather sloppy history. I wanted it to be detailed but I didn't want to write a whole story on how she came to be. I'm sure I can do that in the Journals. :P
